Welcome to Grace Lutheran Preschool in Lockhart, TX! Our mission is to provide the best education to every child that walks through our doors in a loving, Christian environment. Grace Lutheran Preschool is a ministry of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Founded in 1977, our preschool provides quality early childhood education for our community and congregation. We welcome all children as space allows and provide instruction through story and play, a weekly chapel service and nutritious snacks and meals.
Director: Stephanie Gonzales
Mrs. Gonzales is passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to creating a nurturing, enriching environment for young learners. A proud Lockhart native and graduate of Texas State University, Stephanie spent nine years teaching 1st and 2nd grade in Lockhart Independent School District before joining Grace Lutheran Preschool, where she has served as Director for over four years.
She is a Texas certified teacher in Early Childhood, certified in English as a Second Language (ESL), and has completed the Texas Reading Academies. Stephanie is also a proud Grace Lutheran Preschool parent. Both of her daughters attended Grace Lutheran Preschool.
Outside of school, she enjoys photography, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and their three cats.

Classes for ages 3-5 years
Grace Lutheran Preschool Lockhart, Texas strives to provide a safe and loving environment where children and their families will be comfortable and happy. Most of the day is spent in self-chosen activities such as puzzles, block play, dramatic play, and art. Each morning during the school year 30 minutes are devoted to a pre-academic/academic curriculum. A planned music/movement group is also held daily. The four-year-old class has technology time each day as well. Grace Lutheran Preschool is a Christian school and we believe a child’s spiritual growth is as much a part of our curriculum as their social, physical, and intellectual development. We offer our children weekly chapel and exposure to Bible stories, songs, and simple Christian prayers. We offer a full breakfast, lunch, and snack daily. Meals are included in tuition. Each meal is prepped in our in-house kitchen with fresh ingredients.

Grace Lutheran Preschool is year round. We do follow the local school district academic calendar closely.
- Hours are 7:30-5:30
- 3 Year Old Class: ages 2-4
- Pre-K: ages 3-5
- Class placement is dependent on the age of the child as of September 1 for the upcoming school year.
Tuition & Fees
Annual Enrollment Fee: $350.00 – Due at the time of enrollment to hold your spot for the upcoming school year.
